Intelligent Nutrients flagship
launches in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS -- Horst Rechelbacher -- environmental leader, eco-businessman and founder
of Aveda® Corporation -- announces the launch of his new venture, Intelligent
Nutrients®, the science of welL-being, and the opening of The IN, a flagship
destination.
Beginning December 1, downtown Minneapolis will house a one-of-a-kind retail and
dining venue and consumer education concept. On the site of the original Aveda Corp.
(983 Hennepin Ave. E.) will stand The IN, a 15,000-square-foot facility created to
offer consumers plant-based nutrition that is biodynamically, organically and "harmonically"
grown.
The primary objective of The IN is to find complementary ways to deliver functional
nutrition. One such way is through nutraceuticals that are organically derived and
designed both to function and to taste good. In addition to a variety of nutraceuticals,
The IN will also feature flavor-aromatherapy essential oils and highly nutritional
oils from seeds of herbs and fruits, created by combining plant-based aromatics and
nutritional properties. Flavor-aromatherapy oils can be added to drinks and desserts,
taken directly in specified dosages, or worn on the body for added nutrition and
function. They can also be worn on the body for additional nutritional and aromatic
benefit.
"We have literally searched the planet for products which I think are important
for people to use daily," Rechelbacher said. "The IN is an entirely new
concept, where we offer organic products that taste good and provide health benefits,
and that are harvested and packaged in the purest form. They deliver maximum support
to children, adults, and animals with no insecticides, pesticides, toxins, trace
metals, or other impurities."
The IN retail center, or "global apothecary," will feature the expanding
Intelligent Nutrients product line, including nutraceutical supplements and vitamins,
organic teas, coffees and other healthy organic offerings. There will also be organic
chocolate nutraceuticals that are designed to function and service the whole body,
with specific offerings for overall health balance. The retail center also represents
varied cultures (North and South American, Tibetan, Native American, African, European
and Asian, to name a few) and will offer organic compositions specific to their respective
regions and traditions. Books, music, artwork and jewelry are among the other eco-minded
wares for purchase.
In the expansive warehouse setting, an organic restaurant/deli and bar will serve
earth-friendly fare and "healthy organic delights." An on-site chocolatier
will offer "flavor aromatherapy" treats -- 100 percent organic chocolate
nutraceuticals infused with various essential oils and herbal extracts to address
specific health requirements.
Horst plans to offer nightly consumer dialogs with health experts, environmental
leaders and wellness practitioners. The focus will be local, i.e. Minneapolis health
care professionals, organic farmers, environmental activists and artists, whose works
will be on a rotating exhibit throughout the facility.
"Intelligent Nutrients is really about the science of well-being," Rechelbacher
said. "It is my goal to preserve the environment by bringing excellent products
to consumers. People will come here to experience and learn how to benefit from wellness
practices from all over the world."
Dedicated to combining the pursuit of natural health, beauty and wellness with eco-minded
business, Intelligent Nutrients, a line of holistic functional foods and nutraceuticals,
was launched by Horst Rechelbacher in 2004. IN products are available at select retail
outlets, through the educational and retail website www.intelligentnutrients.com and the IN flagship in Minneapolis. |
