New Music
Everything, by St. Paul [www.stpaulmusic.com]
At age 17, with his burgeoning talent ever-present, Minnesotan St. Paul (a.k.a. Paul
Peterson) was hand-picked by Prince to be a member of The Time and to appear in the
classic movie Purple Rain. Now, years later and with two previous acclaimed solo
albums to his credit, St. Paul has released an impressive new CD entitled Everything.
Brimming with colorful, catchy original songs, such as "Stay a While,"
"Sugar" and "Somebody Like You," Everything is pure pop perfection.
St. Paul has successfully fashioned a recording that reflects all his well-honed
musical strengths--songwriting, performing and producing. Nominated for Contemporary
Album of the Year by the Just Plain Folks Music Organization, Everything is abounding
with musical gems--indeed, it has everything you would desire from a CD and more.

Blues, by George Faber [www.georgefaber.com]
Veteran blues singer and harmonica player George Faber has enthralled audiences for
years with his enthusiastic performances and well-crafted songs. On his enjoyable
CD, Blues, George gets the good times rolling right from the start with the rollicking
self-penned tune "Takes a Better Man" and he keeps on rolling with 11 other
well-chosen songs that include wonderful covers by the likes of Little Walter and
Ike Turner. Grabbing you and never letting go, Faber's superb Blues bursts forth
with life and musical spontaneity. Complemented by a group of esteemed musicians,
such as Ricky Peterson on Hammond B3, Billy Peterson on bass, Bobby Vandell on drums
and many talented others, this CD is crackling with feel-good blues. An oxymoron
yes, but an rousing musical treat to savor nonetheless.
