Sharka Glet was born in Prague, Czech Republic in 1944. She
earned a master's degree in book illustration at Charles University
of Art in Prague, and a bachelor's degree in art with concentration
in sculpture, decorative, graphic, and fine art. She currently
is a FCPA mural painter and sculptor in Joliet, Ill., a part-time
art instructor at College of Dupage, Glen Ellyn, Ill., a freelance
book cover designer, illustrator, and fine artist.
"Painting and sculpting large-scale pieces of art have
always fascinated me. I am excited to be a part of a group of
artists who create not only quality and meaningful, but also
educational art. I love to create in cooperation with other
artists."
