Grounding and Loving
CHANHASSEN, Minn. -- A two-day energy healing workshop on how to ground and how to
love will be presented March 20-21 at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum by Warren
Grossman, Ph.D., a healer, psychologist, teacher of healers and author of To Be Healed
By The Earth (Seven Stories Press).
"As a psychologist and a healer," Dr. Grossman said, "it has been
the results of the last 25 years of my career that proper grounding is almost impossible
for Americans, as they wear shoes long before their feet have developed. They are
left with underdeveloped and weak feet, forming an insubstantial foundation for all
of their body functions, but particularly those that are healing or facilitating
for others. I teach how to reverse this situation with specific foot developing exercises
and attention.
"The second thing that is utterly essential is an actual set of directions and
experiential learning on how to open one's heart at will. It is only love that heals,
and one must learn to use one's heart with facility, to be of optimal value to oneself
and those in one's family and community. The event is the result of the sponsorhip
of Dave Nelson, a gifted healer in your city."
Tickets are $195. Send checks to ICOACH,LLC, 8140 Trillium Circle, Victoria, MN 55386,
or call Dave at (952) 443-3063.

New Master's program
MINNEAPOLIS -- The College of St. Catherine, Minneapolis, will begin offering an
innovative Master of Arts in Holistic Health Studies in the 2004-2005 academic year,
continuing its 20-year leadership in the holistic healthcare education field.
The College created the Holistic Health Studies Program in 1984, eight years before
the National Institutes of Health established an office to study complementary and
alternative medicine. In 1996, the College of St. Catherine's Minneapolis campus
entered a groundbreaking partnership with United Hospital to bring its certificate
programs in Holistic Health to the hospital's health professionals.
The Master of Arts in Holistic Health Studies is a multidisciplinary co-ed program
that focuses on health and healing based on an integrative health model. The program
includes core curriculum with the choice of three concentrations: herbology, energy
healing or a self-designed option.
Not only for health care professionals, the Master of Arts in Holistic Health Studies
was created for students who have a variety of educational and professional backgrounds.
Core coursework will help students make the shift from viewing disease as an external
process to an understanding of illness as a complex interaction of multiple factors
and examining the social factors contributing to disease.
The program is geared toward working adults with evening classes offered on the College
of St. Catherine's Minneapolis campus and can be completed in two and a half years.
The College of St. Catherine is the largest and most comprehensive Catholic college
for women in the country. Through a diversity of programs, the college offers the
intimacy of a four-year liberal arts college and the opportunity to complete baccalaureate,
associate and master's degrees in a variety of health-care specialties, liberal arts
and professional programs.
