PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. -- Whole Body Health, a holistic clinic in Prairie Village,
announces the addition of naturopathic doctor, Ryan Shelton, as its primary care
provider.
Naturopathic medicine, as a distinct healthcare profession, utilizes a full range
of necessary clinical and laboratory diagnostics while including clinical nutrition,
botanical medicine, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, homeopathy, and counseling.
Dr. Shelton treats the whole person, rather than just the symptoms, thereby helping
the patient achieve both long-term and short-term wellness goals.
Dr. Shelton is one of seven registered doctors of naturopathic medicine in the state
of Kansas. After receiving his bachelor's degree from KU, Dr. Shelton earned a Doctorate
of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Wash. He has completed
clinical internships in the USA, Peru and Germany.
In addition to Dr. Shelton, Whole Body Health staffs many dedicated and talented
holistic practitioners. Dr. Kimberly Hunt and Dr. Angie Janasz offer ChiroSägeŠ.
This technique combines the benefits of deep tissue massage, chiropractic adjustments,
and muscle rehabilitation to remove the muscle imbalances that pull on the joints
and cause pain and inflammation. The result is optimum, pain-free mobility and a
strong, healthy body. Denise Cooper practices Reflexology, an ancient healing technique
that works to stimulate reflex points on the feet to balance energy and circulation
throughout the body. It is similar to a foot massage, but so much more. Sara O'Brien
brings therapeutic massage to the table. Her specialty is deep tissue and sports
massage. Completing the vision of holistic medicine is acupuncturist, and specialist
in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Richard Morantz.
Richard's 14-year career has taken him from San Diego, to Lawrence, and now back
to his home city of Prairie Village.
