for first Conference
by
Jerri Johnson and Linda Peterson
In the cloistered halls of Assisi Heights in Rochester, Minn., there was a gathering
of the most remarkable people. It was the first Conference for Health Freedom Advocates,
sponsored by the National Health Freedom Coalition (NHFC). This groundbreaking conference
brought together health freedom leaders from across the country to further the cause
of health freedom. |
Children
of the New Earth
Deserve our Love & Respect
From the Editor | by Tim Miejan
The Children of the New Earth
are the future. They are standing on the lookout watching, silently, as the world
they are to lead is being created.
They have come to this planet in the midst of a great transformation. The current
adults are addressing this change. They are enduring great personal and cultural
shifts in order to manifest enough light so the Children of the New Earth will not
only survive, but thrive, on Mother Earth. |

Teaching
our Children to Love:
The Foundation of our Future
by
Angie Bailey
In The Quest for Wholeness, Robert Brumet writes, "Love is a divine idea. We
cannot define it. We cannot capture its essence with words. We can only know it through
experience." He goes on to write, "To love our enemy, we need to see that
the real 'enemy' is our own false sense of self. We have then found the source of
the enemy -- it is within our own minds."
Lend
a Hand
by
Ridgely Goldsborough
Captain Linus took the first and only wave in stride. It crashed over the bow and
drenched him to the bone as we cut through the break. He held fast to the black handle
that we use to carry the kayak and said nothing.
Hand
In Hand Into the Future
by Cathy Combs
Preparing our children for
the future -- or are they preparing us? In considering this question, I am immediately
swept up in the cosmic interconnectedness we all share with each other. Yes, we are
preparing our children, and all children are preparing all of us for the future!
My question is, is it a conscious, loving preparation, or is it a mindless, heartless,
unconscious "preparation"?
We
can help Children Cope with War
by Lloyd J.
Thomas
HAs I write this, American soldiers continue to die in Afghanistan and Iraq. For
the past several months, these wars have preoccupied the minds and hearts of the
citizens of our country. Hourly news "updates," TV special reports and
regular long programs on war and its consequences filled our viewing hours. The "news
media" brought the war immediately into our lives. The psychological stress
of war impacts each and every one of us. And our children are the most vulnerable
to the emotional duress of helpless exposure to such impact. |
It's Worth
the Effort
by
Steffany Barton
Although I had been numbed from the waist down, I was still aware of the overwhelming
feelings of fear and nervous anticipation. The doctor worked expediently to retrieve
the little soul who, for the past eight months, shared my body. I followed my breath
as I waited for my baby to take her first.
Gifting
Unconditional Love
by
Desiree de Angelise
"Your children are not
your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself."
Thus, begins Kahlil Gibran's comments on "Children" from his book The Prophet.
Are you familiar with that glorious writing? I hope so. I still remember my first
reading and how years later at my son's and daughter's christening, I included Gibran's
"Children," my poem honoring their uniqueness, and a minister's reading
that each night a child is born is a "holy night."
Embrace
Each Child
and You Embrace Yourself
by Darryl Pokea
We each know what genuine respect and reverence feels like in our minds and bodies.
As we know it, so too our children know it. They continually attempt to show each
of us their comfort level with the "matters" of this world. All of us adults
have a choice in deciding how much we participate in responding with indifference
or with peaceful expansive kindness. Our choices affect our children even more than
they do our fellow adults.
Building
Peace One Child At a Time
by
Linda Evans
Millions of children have been orphaned in the AIDS pandemic in Africa. Estimates
are that 3 to 4 million children will be orphaned by 2010 in South Africa alone.
Conditions in post-apartheid South Africa are highly complex, way beyond the comprehension
of most of us in America. Deep wounds remain from colonialism, slavery and years
of abuse of black South Africans. |

The Truth
Within The Process
by
Tracy Phernetton
Together we are here, now,
in harmony -- all our souls connecting in one spontaneous arrangement of individual
flavors. Now, more importantly than ever, we must immerse ourselves in our quiet
heart-spaces. The galaxies of yester-nows are communing together to fulfill our true
destiny. To fully Re-member the Truth. So, you ask, what is the Truth?
Principle
8: The Principle of Good and Bad Generalizations
Mind Chatter | by Bill Harris
By now, most of you know that
I am of the opinion that it is not necessary to live a life that contains suffering,
and that there are definite ways to change your life from one containing suffering
to one where you are happy and peaceful all the time.
Keys
to discovering your heart
Smoke Signals | by Debbie Smoker
Dear Debbie,
Since embarking on my spiritual path, my husband and parents seem to have turned
against me. I'm hurt and confused. How can I follow my heart and also keep peace
at home? -- Edna J., Stillwater, Minn.
Dear Edna,
First, I want to congratulate you for having the courage to move forward on your
own personal journey. What you are experiencing is happening all over the planet.
Let's explore what is really going on here.
Frequencies
of Light: Moving Beyond the Mind
The Light Page | by Suzie Black
Today I spent part of the day
counseling a student on one of my least favorite topics: the fascination of the mind
and the illusion that if one thinks about something long enough, an answer will arise.
Often, the opposite is true!
Finding
Light in the Dark Places
by Paul
Ferrini
In Greek Mythology, Erebus
is the place of deepest darkness. It is the underground world where chaos reigns.
In modern psychological terms, Erebus represents the shadow world of our unconscious.
In this world, dreams and symbols reign. It is the place where death dwells and it
is also the place where life is conceived. From it arises psychic dreams, revelations
and intuitions of truth that are beyond our understanding. Wisdom that comes from
this place does not originate in our conscious minds. It comes from the unconscious.
Crossing
the Angel's Bridge
by
Nate Griggs
CAIRO, Egypt -- The Sun burns
with spectacular intensity in a hazy Egyptian sky as I write this article from my
dorm on Zamalek Island, Cairo. Sent here by spiritual guides and angels, the last
two months have been an adventure spanning from the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid
to the top of Mount Sinai, and everything in between. I write to you with the hope
that my efforts to communicate the angel's teachings will enhance your personal journey
through the mysteries of life!
An
Angelic Gift
by
Theresa Kulis
On May 16, 2002, My husband,
Dan, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a form of cancer. He died 1 year and
10 days later on Memorial Day, May 26, 2003. When we were told he had only six to
eight weeks left before this horrible disease would take his life, we decided to
take a cruise to Jamaica to make some lasting memories together before he would get
too weak to travel.
The
Feng Shui Bus Stops Here
Wind & Water
| by Carole Hyder
As a follow-up to my last column
in which I outlined my decision to go to graduate school this fall, I have another
important piece to report on this matter. This is probably an education that may
well exceed that of the University. In an exercise of efficiency, I am now riding
the bus. |

Integrative Healing
The New Medicine
by
Andreas Moritz
The return of old diseases
and the emergence of chronic illness divided mankind into two camps: One that continues
to uphold the trust and confidence in modern medicine, and one that takes recourse
to natural methods of healing. Although alternative (complementary) medicine is still
battling to make its approaches available to the masses, in some countries of the
world such as Australia, Germany, England, New Zealand and now even in the United
States, it is becoming more and more common sense to try the natural route, either
along with or without conventional medicine.
An
Alternative to Addiction
by
Arthur Rapkin and Adam Margolis
Addictive behavior is a common
pitfall of human nature. Despite our attempts to achieve independence and self-sufficiency,
we can altogether too easily become dependant on external substances. Even though
many addictions are obviously detrimental to our health, the substances of addiction
become our little friends; dependable cures for loneliness or boredom from day to
day.
Thai
Massage
The Healing Spirit of Yoga-based massage therapy
by
Tim Ryan
Thai massage is an art of conscious
healing work. In Thailand, it is commonly known as Nuad Phan Boran&Mac226; the
old way of healing with the hands. The roots can be traced back more than 2,500 years
to a healer named Shivago who is credited with distilling the essence of Ayurvedic,
Tibetan and traditional Chinese medicines into a yoga-based system of lines, points
and remedies. Shivago synthesized these ancient advanced healing systems into the
Thai system, which uses 10 primary energy lines (meridians) and 71 wind gates (chakras).

The question surprised me.

The
Matrix: Revolutions
The Movie Mystic
| by Stephen
Simon
"Everything that has a
beginning must have an end." Or does it? The groundbreaking Matrix series (but
not its impact) comes to a conclusion with The Matrix: Revolutions and I believe
that it will be remembered for decades to come as a seminal step forward in the potential
of Spiritual Cinema to remind us of the complex beauty and paradox of our humanity.
So, please, see it yourself. Regardless of what you may hear or have heard to the
contrary -- regardless of what you may have felt about Matrix: Reloaded. There is
magic and mystery in this film that rivals and, in some ways such as its brilliant
and paradoxical ending, surpasses the original Matrix.

Creative Change:
Step 5: Empower Action
by
Rosanne Bane
In Step 5, the rubber meets
the road. Empowering the action means identifying and building the structures and
relationships that support the change. It also means identifying and eliminating
the unsupportive structures and relationships. In Step 5, the change gets challenging,
so you need to review your urgency, rely on your allies and focus on the vision and
strategy you've identified and shared.
