My Letter To Santa

Dear Santa,

I have a long list of material things --
some I need and others I just want --
things like a car of my own for the first time in my life
or new clothes, jewelry, makeup, books, journals, perfume.
Even enough money to pay all the bills
and have a little left over for fun.

But more than anything else, Santa, I want
the courage to act on my beliefs,
the strength to be my real self no matter the cost,
the grace to learn from my mistakes,
the power to control my own mind,
the healing of my heart and spirit,
the health of a goddess,
the honesty to live the truth,
the integrity to choose right,
the wisdom of the ages,
the creativity to realize all my dreams,
the imagination to believe in magic,
the love of giving,
the confidence within,
the hope of the future,
the peace to accept,
the wonder to experience the world through my children's eyes,
the joy of true expression,
the happiness of living in the moment,
the patience to persist,
the gratitude to recognize that all I have is all I really need.

More than anything else,
I want the change
I want to see in the world
to begin with me.
