The New Medicine
by Andreas Moritz
An excerpt from the book Freedom from Judgment
The return of old diseases and the emergence of chronic illness divided mankind into
two camps: One that continues to uphold the trust and confidence in modern medicine,
and one that takes recourse to natural methods of healing. Although alternative (complementary)
medicine is still battling to make its approaches available to the masses, in some
countries of the world such as Australia, Germany, England, New Zealand and now even
in the United States, it is becoming more and more common sense to try the natural
route, either along with or without conventional medicine.
Now both approaches are well represented in the overall scheme of things and can
be accessed by almost anyone. Medical doctors still risk prosecution and loss of
their license to practice medicine if they dare speak out in favor of alternative
health modalities or even apply these in their practice. But before long, we will
find that both approaches of medicine will intermix or merge together. Indications
for merger are already subtly there; when it happens in a more obvious way, a New
Medicine will be born, one that will be entirely different from what existed before,
working according to the principle, "The whole is more than the sum of its parts."
The New Medicine will be less concerned about what is wrong with the body or mind;
it won't need to be. Instead, it will focus on unleashing the creative power of the
individual as the principle source of health and youthfulness. The New Medicine is
going to recognize that disease is ultimately the result of disconnection from our
source intelligence and source energy. It will give health care back to the people.
Miracles are going to take place as frequently as operations take place today. Reconnecting
with our spirit source will be seen as the most important thing that can be done
to improve one's health. It's like switching on the light that dispels darkness.
Mankind as a whole will begin to realize that trying to find out everything about
the symptoms of disease is like trying to investigate all the possible problems that
darkness could cause to a person who has no light to see the path along which he
is walking. Although switching on the light is a very simple act, it can solve some
of the most complex problems arising from being in the dark. Imagine if there was
no light; what could you possibly do in your life except sit and think? Fixing diseases
is similar to fixing darkness; there is no end to the fixing.
Both the alternative/complementary and conventional systems of medicine are incapable
of eliminating disease on this planet. Both of these systems are expressions of duality;
therefore, their scope of influence remains very limited and incomplete. They each
have their value in upholding their particular expression of duality; some of it
is effective, and some of it is not.
To find the eternal fountain of youth and healing, however, we must return to the
origin of both these streams, that is, human consciousness. Now is the time to collectively
move into the Divine moment where the consciousness of spirit and the matter of the
body meet and are recognized as one. It is in the gap of the moment where the two
spirals of duality find their common origin. Neither of the two approaches is better
or more important than the other. Both are capable of taking us to the desired place
of wholeness. Here in this gap of simple beingness we activate our creative intelligence,
the intention of desire that becomes instant manifestation.
The power surge emanating from the Divine moment of being within our own awareness
creates the instant and automatic healing of that which is without.
Gap of non-judgment
Healing does not need to take long. In fact, if it takes long it is likely to be
incomplete. According to Japanese research studies, spontaneous remission and complete
cure of cancer occurs when those afflicted with the disease move into the gap of
non-judgment or non-duality, i.e., when they relinquish all needs or desires to have
it one way or the other. This cannot be accomplished by will or use of the rational
mind. It may occur when someone faces death and, oddly, loses all hope for survival.
Giving into death may take someone into the gap of his eternal spirit self, provided
this is in the person's highest interest. Thus, consciously losing the fear of dying
and stepping into one's essence may instantly stimulate the body's immune system
into a powerful response that can dismantle egg-sized malignant tumors in the brain,
bladder, intestines, etc., within less than 24 hours, in some instances within as
little as 15 seconds. There are thousands of documented cases like these.
What is most interesting in these cases of spontaneous remission is that the healing
merely (if that is not enough) consisted of gaining freedom from judgment, of accepting
one's situation at that moment. Fighting for life doesn't get you to you this magical
place of the Divine moment, for effort and struggle are born out of fear. Giving
up one's desire to live, on the other hand, is born out of resignation and frustration
and merely represents the other end of duality awareness. However, accepting death
without trying to avoid or enforce it moves you into the Divine moment where miracles
take place.
Of course, we don't all have to face death, either our own or someone else's, to
find the opening to slip into the Divine moment. Life provides us with plenty of
other opportunities that can serve in the same way. Reading this book and looking
at the double spiral picture from time to time are just a few of the many ways of
creating gap awareness. Ener-chi Art™, which helps to activate the New Medicine within
one's body, mind and soul through light-encoded artwork, is perhaps one of the fastest
and most thorough methods to unite spirit with matter. It prepares the cellular structures
of the body to be able to hold a higher vibration and more Chi, which bridges the
otherwise insurmountable gap that exists between the two.
In due time, our polarized duality consciousness becomes anchored in the singularity
of Self. The body simply follows suit. Once we lose our polarity thinking, that is,
our mode of reference to what we believe is right and wrong or good and bad, the
DNA of our body begins to lose its polarity mode as well. As soon as we are able
to accept whatever is, which means all our strong and weak sides, our successes and
failures, fears, anger, and guilt, etc., our body will automatically and spontaneously
move out of its polarity mode.
Make your body do anything
When you are under the strong influence of fear, anger or even excessive joy, your
body is out of balance, too. The stress of sudden joy can cause a heart attack just
as easily as the stress of sudden rage. Being "good" is no antidote to
disease. We need to remember here that being or expressing one quality also means
that its opposite is not far away; in fact, it lurks in the invisible shadow part
of our consciousness known as the subconscious mind. True healing begins when we
can be both qualities and have no judgment about which one is better or worse. Shadow
and light serve each other well and are co-present all the time. The reason we have
weak spots in our attitudes and behavior is to bring forth and develop their opposite
-- strong counterparts. Accepting both creates oneness or balance, and balance is
the key to healing. Preferring one quality to another generates discord in the body
and mind. For example, even if we choose happiness over sadness, it counts as an
imbalance. Consequently, the body has no other choice but to develop a physical imbalance,
too.
Everything in life is valuable, and once we see that we become graced with the perception
of oneness. Because the body does nothing of its own accord but simply follows instructions,
the new perception of oneness and acceptance of whatever is becomes the new blueprint
reference for DNA. The genetic codes in your body's DNA adjust to the new you and
copy that information into a new RNA, which subsequently alters the functioning of
your body, making complete rejuvenation not just possible but unavoidable. When the
adjustment is complete, the DNA structure will go off like a time bomb in order to
accommodate the light of oneness. The time for genetic detonation is now.
Our body is nothing but soft clay that is shaped and molded on a minute-by-minute
and day-by-day basis. If you tell your body that something is good for you, it believes
you. It has no other choice but to serve one master, you. If you tell your body that
it cannot heal itself and requires help from outside, it will believe this too and
you will find yourself in need of a doctor, a drug or surgery.
On the other hand, your body can walk on fire if you can convince it that it can.
You can even pierce your body with knives and needles and suffer no injuries if you
can make it believe that this won't hurt it. If you persuade your body that it can
live without air for several days while being buried under the earth, then it can
even do that for you. Levitating in midair or walking on water is another so called
impossible feat the body can accomplish if it trusts its instructor enough. Sri Chin
Moi, the well-known peacemaker and musician from India living in the United States,
repeatedly lifts 1,000 pounds of weights in front of camera crews. He claims that
the power is coming from his mind. There are numerous miracle performers who have
been scientifically studied to show that the above abilities have actually nothing
to do with the body but with the power of the mind. Likewise, your body can remove
a tumor that has metastasized (spread) everywhere. But for this to happen you need
to step outside the awareness of the body (duality) and move into the awareness of
the spirit (oneness).
Beyond The Shackles Of Memory
Our true physical/mental abilities far exceed those that are controlled by the programs
and memories we have stored in the brain. As long as we only resort to what we learned
and experienced in the past we cannot create a future that is much different from
the past. Only a new seed can yield a new crop. Using past judgments of situations
to create our future, in fact, prevents us from tapping into the present moment.
The present moment, where past and future merge, is the only place of transformation
in life where impossible things are made possible. Models of science or medicine
tell us what is possible and what is not. In this sacred place of the now, however,
limitations are non-existent. Imagination is all that counts here.
When disciple Peter walked across the raging waves of the Sea of Galilee to meet
his beloved master Jesus, he was in the Divine moment of complete faith or connectedness
with his radiant Higher Self. Naturally, his physical form immediately assumed the
form of light (his light-body) making it as easy for him to walk upon the sea as
upon dry land. But as soon as Peter slipped into his duality mode of thinking, which
was but a recall of the memory that walking on water isn't possible, the faith (in
his own divinity) crumbled. "Swimming across, yes, but walking on water, no
way!" Peter entered a human fear vibration, which immediately lowered his body's
density and frequency and caused it to sink.
We face a similar dilemma in our lives. We know instinctively that we can heal ourselves
from cancer, diabetes, or lupus; otherwise we would not be capable of having feelings
of hope. The hope might even be so strong as to expect a miracle and to wake up in
the morning fully recovered. Yet, the vast majority of us doubt that we can do this,
perhaps because we feel unworthy of a miracle or because our past memories don't
allow for something that unusual. The faith in becoming healed is actually negated
by the doubt that healing is possible. Such is our power. Understand this: The power
behind doubt is no less strong than the power that supports faith. Even the faintest
of doubts can sabotage the healing process.
Your are your own healer
During the early 1990s, researchers once again reviewed all the major heart disease
studies to determine what the greatest risk factors were for the biggest killer disease
in the Western hemisphere. Much to their surprise, they found that the greatest risk
factors for heart disease weren't obesity, cigarette smoking, cholesterol or high
blood pressure, etc., but happiness rating and job satisfaction. In other words,
if you don't like your job and are not getting along with your spouse, you are living
dangerously. Being in a disharmonious relationship not only affects the emotional
heart but also the physical heart. Having heart disease means that the whole body
is sick. You cannot have a poorly performing heart and expect it to pump enough oxygen
and nutrients to the cells of the body -- a prerequisite for the most basic physiological
processes such as digestion and metabolism.
Brain and heart researcher Dr. Glen Rein has shed some light on why the happiness
of the heart is so essential to our health. He discovered that it is a matter of
the heart whether you get ill or not. Using Fast Fournier Transformation (FFT), he
converted a conventional EKG of the heart into a frequency diagram, like the ones
normally made only to map brain frequencies. The heart, he points out, is much more
powerful electrically than the brain. Of course, it is well known that the heart
generates its own electricity. But what Dr. Rein discovered was simply amazing.
Negative emotions such as unhappiness, frustration, anger, hatred and the like generate
chaotic, weak and high frequency heart wave graphs. Positive emotions, on the other
heart, such as lovingness, appreciation and gratitude produce very orderly, low frequency,
but very powerful waves on the graph. Dr. Rein showed that only when the heart shows
coherent wave patterns, as in feelings of love and connectedness, could its energy
be transmitted properly throughout the body. This may explain why lovers seem so
healthy and energized.
Like a dynamo, the heart is capable of feeding healthful energy into the body. Chronically
negative persons, those who are angry, depressed, guilt-ridden, anxious or hateful,
prevent their own healing by disordering and blocking their heart waves. This greatly
reduces the heart's energy production and distribution; sickness follows eventually.
The heart being the seat of the soul, we are in charge of whatever happens in the
body. Truly happy people (not those who pretend to be happy) are those that have
love in their hearts, and they are the healthiest people. They are their own healers.
They trust that they are capable of healing from any illness.
This statement is beautifully illustrated by the work of David Hawkins. Hawkins conducted
a 29-year study that showed that the health of the human body improves or deteriorates
depending on a person's mental state. He created a scale from 1-1,000 that measured
human consciousness in response to emotional frequency. He found that any state that
caused a person to vibrate at a frequency below 200 (or 20,000 cycles per second)
weakens the body. On the other hand, a frequency condition from 200 to 1,000 makes
the body stronger. Hawkins discovered that the experience of shame had the lowest
frequency effect on the body. This basically means, if you have thoughts of shame
you become very weak, and thereby susceptible to illness. Guilt turned out to be
the next most weakening emotion, followed by apathy, grief, fear and anxiety, craving,
anger and hate.
Higher on the scale was trust, vibrating at a frequency of 250 (or 25,000 cycles
per second). Trust turned out to have a strengthening effect on the body. If you
trust in yourself, you naturally trust that all is well with you and with the world,
even if it doesn't seem that way.
Then going up on the scale are willingness, optimism, acceptance and forgiveness,
reason and understanding. Love, reverence, joy and serenity had particularly high
frequencies. They were surpassed only by peace and bliss. Unity consciousness --
the experience of you and the world as Spirit -- is the highest calibration at a
scale of 1,000. This is the frequency of absolute power.
Bringing the higher frequencies of love, joy or faith into the lower frequencies
of what we call p roblems or fragmentation, the difficulties reveal their true purpose
to us. Hence they become opportunities for change and healing. To heal means to become
whole, which is the end of fragmentation.
Faith heals
The placebo effect is the occurrence of spontaneous healing among patients who believe
a particular drug or treatment is going to cure their illness. The placebo response
ranges from 30-70 percent. During a research trial a number of control subjects are
given only a sugar pill and another group receives the drug to be tested. If the
drug group comes up with better results than the placebo group, the drug is considered
effective and ready to be marketed. Yet since none of the subjects of either group
know what they are taking, the placebo effect applies to both the drug and the dummy.
Because human beings are not robots that are run by the same program, there are bound
to be varying degrees of faith or doubt in the different people who undergo such
testing procedures. If there are more believers or optimists in the drug group than
in the placebo group, the drug wins. On the other hand, if there are more doubters'
or pessimists in the drug group than in the placebo group, the placebo wins. This
renders the much-acclaimed objectivity of scientific research virtually invalid.
If nobody had doubts in their own healing power, there would be no need for medicine.
Everyone would enjoy placebo healing. People would be cured from any illness simply
by having faith in their own infinite healing powers. On the other hand, those who
doubt that the medicine they are taking is going to work for them, even though it
may be known to be 99 percent successful, sabotage their own healing abilities. This
effect has been termed "nocebo." The placebo phenomenon leaves plenty of
business opportunities for medications, therapies, charlatans and other bogus products
that do absolutely nothing but to serve as a Placebo. Even if the placebo effect,
which is intrinsic to all of these approaches regardless of whether it is a real
drug or snake oil, is only 35-45 percent efficient, any of these approaches will
be considered highly successful. Those who do not benefit from the placebo have their
own reasons for not being able to heal, all of which have one thing in common --
low self-worth or self-doubt.
In truth, medicine itself never cures or heals anything; suppressing or removing
the symptoms of disease cannot be considered to be a cure, for this only transfers
the problem elsewhere. Medicine can only serve as a trigger to awaken the sleeping
healer within.
People are first and foremost their own healers. Anyone who claims to be able to
heal you has either no idea how healing occurs or he is simply lying to you. It is
the conscious and subconscious acceptance of oneself and one's worthiness at the
time of taking the medicine that translates as a healing response in the body. True
healers merely assist the mind/body to heal itself.
When Jesus healed the sick, he always pointed out that it was their own faith that
did the healing. Laying his hands on them served as a trigger (like the medicine)
to bring their faith to the surface of awareness. While being in his presence, trusting
in a higher power was easy for them. Similarly, being in the presence of, or being
treated by, a reputable and self-confident doctor or healer can make patients euphoric
about their own healing chances.
Because Jesus acted from the state of oneness where limitations do not exist, he
never used such words as, "It's not possible." He only saw possibilities,
not impossibilities. So it wasn't astonishing to him to be able to restore someone's
sight or make lame people walk again. Even raising people from the dead was not off
limits to him, although the involved souls had to consent to return to their bodies
beforehand. His awareness wasn't of the physical body, although he used it as an
instrument. Jesus was one with his father, that is, his Higher Self. Thus he was
one with his source and therefore one with everyone he met. Being in direct telepathic
communication with their Higher Selves, he knew who was ready to he healed in body,
mind, and soul and who wasn't. Referring to his higher nature he spoke and acted
with the authority of a king, but his kingdom was of the higher dimensions. Being
a master of the consciousness of oneness while inhabiting a human body, he was able
to direct the lower dimensions in any way appropriate and according to the highest
good of everyone.
We are here to become masters of consciousness, too.
