Children of the New Earth deserve our love & respect
From the editor | by Tim Miejan

The Children of the New Earth are the future. They are standing on the lookout watching, silently, as the world they are to lead is being created.

They have come to this planet in the midst of a great transformation. The current adults are addressing this change. They are enduring great personal and cultural shifts in order to manifest enough light so the Children of the New Earth will not only survive, but thrive, on Mother Earth.

As they wait for light to intensify, for our collective decision-making process to choose love in all situations, the Children of the New Earth are living in the muck of an unfinished project. Like a home under construction, there are sharp nails poking out of walls and paint buckets under foot. There is dust and dirt and a general sense of discomfort -- not in all cases, but in far too many to make this transition a pleasant one.

It is a challenging task, one that the current adults have signed up for and are courageously undertaking. And it is one that the Children of the New Earth are strong enough to overcome.

Enough of the big picture. Let's look at the small one. What are you doing to serve your children -- beyond bringing home the bacon and providing a roof over their heads? What are you doing to truly model a way of being that will serve them well in the coming years? How are you preparing them to be who they truly are in the midst of dynamic change all around them? And how are you restoring peace to their lives each and every day when they lay down at night and prepare to return to the flip side of our existence in the dream world?

So many questions and, seemingly, so little time to get it done. It is all too convenient to worry about time, but truthfully, how long does it take? How long does it take to restore peace in a frightened one? How long does it take to fill them with love whenever you are in their presence? Make eye contact. Touch their hearts with your soul. Tell them you love them, no matter what. Repeat as often as you possibly can. You cannot love them too much.

And while you're at it, surround your own being with that love that you so freely hand out to those around you. We forget to refill our own tank with affection and support and love. We fuss and moan and complain that we aren't getting the support we need from others -- and maybe that's true. But how often do you sit in a chair, close your eyes and embrace yourself, affirm to yourself how much you love you, and visualize a flowing shower of love coming down from the heights, and coming up from the Earth, commingling in your precious energy body with all the gentleness that Spirit is known for?

You can do that in the privacy of your own being. Absolutely no one will know. Even if you're a macho guy who works in the mechanic's shed. You can do what it takes to feel love, each and every moment with increasing intensity and comfort. And when you choose to make this a way of being -- not just a habit -- then your life will truly change. This increased love of self will dramatically change how you see others, as well as how you interact with them. Your Children of the New Earth will know that you know who they are. Your family will know that you know who you are. And the world outside will shift accordingly.

Easy to say. Hard to do. But if you can accomplish this practice and make it a way of being, you will have come a very long way toward accomplishing what you came here to do in this lifetime. Think about it: Your current way of being contains many ingenious programs of sabotage that are designed to foil your progress. You find yourself with blown tires on dead-end streets in the middle of a downpour. One blast of love from the heights and the Earth and you're flowing effortlessly on the superhighway on a sunny day.

Let's stop pretending that these little practices, like embracing ourselves with love regularly, are just touchy feely Oprah moments that might be good fodder for discussion in a women's group but really not something worth thinking about on a daily basis. They do matter -- for all human beings. Men, as well as women and children, are energetic beings who are capable of responding to highly tuned subtle energies. By attuning ourselves to these frequencies, all connected to the vibration of love, life as we know it becomes a whole new experience.

Like it or not, our world is changing at quantum speeds. I don't have to tell you that. Your body can sense the changes. Your body is part of the changes. And all around us, in bodies of all shapes and sizes, are the Children of the New Earth...watching, waiting and collectively rejoicing every time one more adult drops his or her armor, breathes deeply and begins the process of being anew.

Editor's note: This article was inspired by the new magazine, Children of the New Earth, which can be found at www.childrenofthenewearth.com or call (858) 268-9929. This quarterly publication is a powerful affirmation of what a growing number of us believe about our children, that they are mirroring our own evolution back to us. Let's support them with all of our being.
