| An Angelic Gift by Theresa Kulis On May 16, 2002, My husband, Dan, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a form of cancer. He died 1 year and 10 days later on Memorial Day, May 26, 2003. When we were told he had only six to eight weeks left before this horrible disease would take his life, we decided to take a cruise to Jamaica to make some lasting memories together before he would get too weak to travel. We arrived in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, at the end of March 2003. As you can see in the photo, taken with a disposable camera in the Botanical Gardens in Ocho Rios, a gentleman is shaking my husband's hand. The man had just finished saying a prayer for him after we had informed him our situation. He said this prayer in a beautiful Jamaican language that sounded angelic in its own way. I believe this amazing photo was sent directly from Heaven. I have been blessed by it, and it has changed my life completely. My husband was truly blessed to have been able to view this for almost two months before he passed. Shortly before he died, he'd asked me what I thought his purpose in life was. As you can imagine, this broke my heart. I told him that he had a MILLION purposes, but he would not know what they were until he reached the other side. It is my destination to fulfill these purposes, even if I die trying. I feel that every person that this photo and story touch spiritually will be another purpose for him. I have given more than 200 copies away to hospitals, clinics, local churches, family, friends and most importantly, complete strangers. I hope the terminally ill, especially the children, will receive great comfort from this photo. There is so much more to this true, inspirational story. Not only did God bless us with this, he blessed us with our 2-1/2 year old son, Jacob. I want to show my husband how much I'd loved him and how much I am dedicated to him.
