October 2003: The Journey
of Alpha Omega
Astrology | by John Sandbach
On October 25, Saturn goes retrograde in cancer, less than a degree away from an
opposition to the planet Chiron. This is felt strongly during all of October and
into the first half of November. Chiron, a small planet or planetoid of recent discovery
(1977), has an orbit between those of Saturn and Uranus. The first astrologers to
write on Chiron said that it ruled healing, and one named it specifically the "wounded
healer." This idea is based on the Greek myth of Chiron the centaur, who had
powerful healing abilities but who could not heal himself.
I feel that a deeper and more profound meaning of Chiron is explained in Ellias Lonsdale's
book Inside Planets. Lonsdale says that Chiron rules the reality that transcends
time and space, and by tapping into its energy, we can overcome the limitations that
time and space impose.
Lonsdale says the true inner name of this planet so recently discovered is Alpha
Omega, which essentially means the place of linking between the Saturnian origins
of this solar system and the Jupiterian future consciousness being powerfully seeded
in these times.
Alpha Omega changes time. The conceptions of time that have frightened and subdued
human free initiative in modern experience have always insisted that time moves one
way -- from past, through present, into future. Alpha Omega brings in a time current
that flows from future, through present, into past.
This is the same time current flow that the Australian Aborigines call the Dream
Time. It is a power from a future world sending back a living impulse to assist the
present time world to organically open toward the future. As more and more humans
tap into the Alpha Omega current, they are finding that who they had previously seemed
to be now changes at root, and a stream of future karma so counterpoints the stream
of past karma that they can at last be completely here in present time.
The three strongest characteristics of a total Alpha Omega experience are:
• One bonds closely with
guiding beings who bring a concrete, Earth-affirmative, body-centered way to live
life with great joy and freedom.
• A multidimensional awareness seeps through more and more, encompassing all sides
of existence and unconditionally loving, in a grounded fashion, the essence in everyone.
• One's sense of self leaps into a permanently expanded condition, fluent and entirely
independent of external conditionings and lower mental rumblings, and knowing oneself
to be linked directly and indissolubly with one's greater self beyond time, which
becomes a palpable force in everything one does.
Saturn opposing Alpha Omega
this month will draw more and more people into the Alpha Omega experience, which
will push through much of the negativity that the world is currently experiencing.
Another aspect of Alpha Omega is that it rules the healing of what Eckhart Tolle
calls the "pain body." The "pain body" is the sum total of accumulated
negative karma built up in your being, and it contains all the patterns and structures
you have generated to cope with past traumas, but which at the same time tend to
keep you in the cycle of those traumas, creating a vicious circle. Tolle tells us
that the way to dissolve the pain body is very simple: You allow yourself to be aware
of it, and you observe it without judgment. As you become more and more aware of
it, it weakens and dissipates on its own.
The Saturn/Alpha Omega opposition will tend to make us collectively aware of our
mass pain body -- all those collective fears that control our actions. Through a
heightened awareness of this, we bring in the possibility of breaking through some
of those fears, and hence changing our collective destiny.
The great beauty of the Alpha Omega energy is that it transcends the expected, and
it tunes us into the truth that there is no pattern however established that we can't
free ourselves from. No matter how powerful the illusions we have created are, they
are illusions, and can be dissolved whenever we decide we are ready to dissolve them.
On October 10, there will be a full Moon in Aries, which squares the Saturn/Alpha
Omega opposition, thereby creating a grand square between Sun, Moon, Saturn and Alpha
Omega. October 5-10 will be a time of much revealing, a time when we have deeper
and more vivid access to our own subconscious that we have had in a long time, the
purpose of this being to clear out energies that have held us back, so that we are
able to more fully embrace the wonderful future that awaits us.
I wish to thank Ellias Lonsdale, some of whose words pertaining to Alpha Omega I
quoted verbatim in this article. May your October be full of exciting discoveries!
