Van Praagh, Brinkley among top Edge Life Expo guests

MINNEAPOLIS – The third-annual Edge Life Expo 2003: Healing Body, Mind & Spirit, returning to the Minneapolis Convention Center on November 14-16, promises to the biggest and best local metaphysical, spiritual and healing expo presented in the Twin Cities by The EDGE and Leap Publications. Headlining the Expo this year is James Van Praagh, a noted clairvoyant and host of the syndicated television program, Beyond, and popular speaker and hospice advocate Dannion Brinkley, who wrote the best-selling Saved by the Light.

Edge Life Expo 2003 will feature nearly a dozen keynote and guest speakers, many of whom are known nationally and around the world. Other speakers include: popular Twin Cities psychic and author Echo Bodine; psychic and spiritual healer Dr. Marilyn Rossner; Tobias channel Geoffrey Hoppe; astrologer Maria Shaw; local author and entrepreneur David Wagner; local author, Feng Shui consultant and EDGE columnist Carole J. Hyder; Akashic Records teacher and consultant Donna Fox; Rev. Michael Underwood of Lake Harriet Spiritual Community; and Edge Life Expo co-owner Insiah Vawda-Beckman.

A record number of exhibitors, an estimated 150 this year, will offer a wide array of products, services and information to assist with healing and personal transformation. Roving musicians will be on hand in Exhibition Hall to soothe and relax you on your journey.

The Expo also will feature top intutitive readers from the area who will offer consultations on life's challenges and opportunities. In addition, a huge bookstore, run by Stonehenge rocks & rituals of Minneapolis, will provide a varity of popular books, tapes and gifts, as well as booksigning by Expo speakers.

And as if that were not enough, more than 90 free classes and workshops by teachers and healers from throughout the region will be offered. In addition, healers will offer mini-sessions in Exhibition Hall to provide samples of how they can assist in bringing your body, mind and spirit back into balance.

New this year will be a special Sunday service presented by Lake Harriet Spiritual Community. It will feature a Meditation and Toning Service from 9-10 a.m. and a Celebration Sunday Service from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 16

Edge Life Expo 2003 owner Gary Beckman, publisher of The EDGE, says he is proud to be able to offer the Twin Cities area a show of this magnitude, and he hopes the public takes advantage of the collective wisdom of those who will be attending the Expo in November.

Edge Life Expo 2003 will open at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14. Expo hours will be from 2-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (with the Sunday services beginning at 9 and 10:30 a.m.).

Daily admission into Expo Hall, which allows participants to attend an unlimited number of free classes and workshops, is $9. A ticket for all three days to the Expo is $20.

A Gold Card Pass admits you into every event at Edge Life Expo 2003 for all three days -- except James Van Praagh's exclusive two events on Saturday, Nov. 15. Gold Cards cost: $150 through Oct. 15, $160 through Nov. 13, $170 at the door.

Like last year, a special offer is available for visitors to Edge Life Expo through the Minneapolis Hilton. Special room rates for the Expo are available for only $89. Beckman says it is not too late to reserve an exhibitor booth for the show, but he warns that booths are selling fast and will be sold out soon.
