Stuart Saves His Country
An EDGE Interview with Al Franken
& Stuart Smalley
by Rita Gallagher Rosenberg
(with contributions from Maureen Gallagher Hansen and Nancy Gallagher)

Al Franken is one of the original writers of Saturday Night Live and won six Emmy's for his work there and a Grammy for best comedy album in 1996. He's a comedian and actor, and a political pundit and satirist. He wrote Rush Limbaugh Is A Big Fat Idiot and is the creator of the show, "Daily Affirmations with Stuart Smalley" which aired on Saturday Night Live. Stuart Smalley was the star in his own movie, Stuart Saves His Family, written by Al Franken. I talked to them both recently -- Al Franken about politics and "Stuart" (who doesn't do politics) about meditation and how it can help us all.
Sacred Ground in Urban Milwaukee

by Nancy Freier

Giving back to the earth, remediating the soil for sustaining us and the food we eat, and to repair what we have done has been the quest of many, but none perhaps more than Will Allen, co-director of Growing Power -- a nonprofit organization supporting people from diverse backgrounds and the environments they live in through the development of community food systems.
Medicine for the Earth: The EDGE Interview with Sandra Ingerman
by Tim Miejan

Sandra Ingerman, author of the groundbreaking book Medicine for the Earth: How to Transform Personal and Environmental Toxin, is not about protesting, picketing or any kind of outer activism to cure the Earth of its pollution. Rather, she teaches an inner, alchemical process that is steeped in scientific research.
