Emoting on Love and Life
by wendy

Love is letting go of all expectations and listening to the heart. When it says go, it is time, regardless of direction. The heart is the compass of Spirit. You are a lesson in love. God directs the compass.

Are you happy? If so, there is no need to read further. If, however, there is a fragment of doubt, then let your mind digest a few more words. Any perceived lack resonates within your essence or your being, a sense of dis-ease. If you have a sense of dis-ease, why? What are you choosing to allow your mind to focus on that prevents you from accepting and manifesting your true state of joy?

Given, there are countless thoughts that you can choose to occupy your mind. It is a choice to be unhappy. And that thought of dis-ease, whatever it is, is tied to an emotion. The reality is that thoughts and emotions are intertwined, given that the body has an emotional field that is inextricably tied to the framework during the walk on the manifest plane.

Some thoughts, more than others, are heavy with the weight of emotion, a scenario we as individuals and as a collective have created. When there is an imbalance, they resonate dis-ease. That resonance changes your ability to reflect light and to broadcast love. It changes you and everything in your sphere of encounter. To understand that is to know how to work it to your benefit. To be free, we must identify and, if possible, understand the process. The mind is the key. Emotions are a tool. They are neither good nor bad. They are a necessary part of the programming for this game called "life."

Prior to stepping in to perform our physical role, we, as Spirit, lay out a course of obstacles and encounters that will trigger our thoughts and emotions, and thus, a response. We are governed by our ability to identify at what level we are choosing to respond. There is no bad response, rather, a stage of growth. Most of us seem to encounter the same scenarios time and again. It is not because we have not learned from it, rather, that we are learning from it. We are doing the same routine to learn and become the growth inside and out, to transcend self. That is how we are eventually able break free of the mold instead of reenacting it. And we may require lifetimes of repetition. That would be the big joke we share as Spirit: the learning curse -- or is it curve?

The purpose of repetition is to guarantee that at some point the student will be able to identify the program and where they are in the process. Then, as the same pegs once again fall into place, the student can objectively direct his/her energy at the point of engagement to suspend the conditioned response and reassess prior encounters and prior actions to initiate a new method of encounter. That is evolution of Spirit. It happens with each and every emotion, thought, idea and breath. And it happens simultaneously in different fields and dimensions. We become more, encounter within encounter, lifetime upon lifetime.

When you step back to look at it from the big picture, it becomes a bit easier to release the attachment to perfection. Each act is a work in progress, and thus, a thread on the string of the chord of perfection. It becomes easier to see the need for getting it wrong a few times, almost right a few times, right for everyone else a couple of times, and finally stumbling upon what is right for you.

Emotions are a barometer to inform us where we are attached and what that attachment creates within us. When we are caught up in circumstances and enmeshed within the daily grind, it becomes increasingly difficult to extricate a superimposed or projected need from that which is truly needed at the level of Spirit. The need of Spirit is basic: When you discover you are God and One with All That Is, you know Spirit. You are free to come and go within the manifest plane to do your work while exploring what it is to be more. You are free to remember who you are. When you remember you are One with All That Is, you walk in the dark broadcasting light and see there is only one need: to love. When I want to be loved, I love as God loves, without attachment to outcome. I know it comes back. And I say Thank you, God. I AM.

I continue to learn from my emotions to identify my attachments so that I am better able to move beyond my limitations and accept others for the Divine spark of light we all carry. We are One. I cannot appreciate our oneness when I am caught in my emotions. They separate me and keep me from my Divine sense of wholeness. That is why they are part of my program. They serve to enlighten me that I may continue to practice releasing my attachments that I may accept you for all of your Divine glory that I may become more. When I become more, we are all more. Then Spirit laughs at me and reminds me: There is no less and there is no more. This is only a current level of understanding to allow me to complete the program. Now I am laughing, too. And I am continuing to practice love and loving.

I would like to love the entire planet, but I acknowledge I am not there yet. So I choose to narrow my focus and work on a case-by-case basis to expand my ability as I identify issues that keep me from loving those with whom I am closest to. They are actually a greater challenge, but I can see them and the results of my actions and it helps me to have the illusion that I can actually chart my progress. When I am done beating my emotional self over the head for the inability to maintain a constant loving focus on the entire planet with every breath in every second, I remember those I have loved and continue to love more than I ever dreamed possible.

With that comes the great emotion of joy that I have found a source that inspires within me a willingness to merge with another and surrender my self -- to be no more. I am no less. No longer me, I am free to be love. That is more. Ain't life grand? Ha!
