| INSIGHT | COLUMNS & GUIDANCE Dear Fellow Traveler by Gretchen Hansen As a "spiritual" person, it is hard for me to answer friends and family when they ask, "Why would God allow something like to World Trade Center disaster to happen?" The Creator created us a free-will-choice beings. We are also created in the Creator's image. In other words, we have the choice and power to create in our physical reality what we desire. So, in essence, God did "allow" this deplorable disaster to happen out of love and respect of Who We Are. The Creator wishes that we make choices that bring us joy, love, harmony and peace. However, if we as a human community choose otherwise, then the Creator -- as the patient parent -- must honor that choice and hope through the experience that we choose to create something different in the future. I am having a hard time sleeping and staying grounded given the level of fear and "scattered" energy radiated by those around me. How do I deal with this? The World Trade Center event was a watershed event for humanity. The attack was not against Americans as the media and the current political systems would suppose. It was an attack against all peace-loving peoples. Those who have been directly and indirectly affected by the event were from all nations, all races, all religions, all cultures. The attack was designed to destroy humanity's confidence that peace could exist anywhere (i.e. the United States). As such, many people in this and other countries now live in fear of future attacks on their safety...their peace. They have allowed their belief systems to be shifted by this event to allow for the possibility of violent events and experiences in their lives. This paradigm shift has sent out waves of energy through the matrix of humanity that affects everyone on this planet. The most powerful thing you can do right now is to focus on visualizing a peaceful and harmonious future in your own life -- and for all of humanity. Do this during your quiet time, and with groups of like-minded people. (Group work magnifies the affect of the visualization.) Extract yourself from the messages being beamed out by the media. Become single-minded in your desire of an outcome to this event that will benefit all humanity. If enough of us focus in this way, our efforts will "pull up" the vibration of this planet to a new level of reality where those who live and breath violence cannot find an audience to support their beliefs and behaviors. Their very reason for creating disharmony will be dissolved in the overpowering Light of Peace. Utopia? No. Just a willingness to respond from a place of peace and love, rather than anger and fear. This will open up the options available to us. We will be able to respond as a human family, not as a nation against another nation, a brother and sister against its siblings. After all, in truth, we are all one. What happens to one, happens to us all. The time has ended where we have to learn by hurting ourselves. We have the opportunity here to choose a different path.
