EDGE Life Expo 2001 Debuts Thanksgiving Weekend
by Editor, Tim Miejan

Leap Publications and The EDGE Newspaper are launching an annual metaphysical and healing expo this fall in the Twin Cities. Edge Life Expo 2001: Healing Body, Mind & Soul will take place Nov. 23-25 at Minneapolis Convention Center, 1301 2nd Ave. S., Minneapolis.

Keynote speakers Echo Bodine and Kathryn Harwig, both Twin Cities residents as well as nationally known authors and lecturers, will be joined by healer Mark Earlix of Chicago. Admission to the expo is $7, with a special rate for all three days. Tickets will be $22-$33 for the keynote speakers.

"Since Whole Life Expo discontinued coming to the Upper Midwest, hundreds of people have asked me to fill the void and do an expo that will nourish our body, mind and soul," says EDGE Publisher Gary Beckman. "Well here it is: Come in for the sustenance of your spirits."

Beckman says the three-day Edge Life Expo 2001 will feature:

• Nearly a hundred exhibitors offering unique gifts, products for the body, mind and soul, and information to support personal growth and transformation.

• Classes and mini-lectures by teachers of healing modalities, meditation and other arenas that support holistic growth and inner awareness.

• Healers who will offer treatments of their body and energy work.
• A host of psychic readers and other intuitives who will offer consultations for those who seek insight into the direction of their lives.

• A unique three-hour entertainment program, coordinated by Gina Citoli of Alchemy VII, that supports and displays talented musicians and artists from throughout the Twin Cities, including local favorite Patty Peterson.

• Keynote speakers who are known locally and have a national presence with the unique gifts they offer:

Echo Bodine is a teacher, spiritual healer, ghostbuster and one of America's top psychics. She is author of A Still Small Voice: A Psychic's Guide to Awakening, Hands That Heal, Passion to Heal and Echoes of the Soul.

Kathryn Harwig is one of the top intuitives in the Twin Cities. She is the author of The Intuitive Advantage, Your Life in the Palm of Your Hand and The Millennium Effect.

Mark Earlix is a nationally known intuitive healer, teacher and author of Creator. He offers his Art of Healing Intensive, Intuitional Living and Healing and Intuitional Wisdom seminars across the country.

Beckman says also he is in contact with two other vital figures in the New Thought and healing movements who are expected to make an appearance and a special statement.

"We will do everything in our power to bring to you the finest metaphysical and alternative health show the Upper Midwest has ever seen," he says. "We are focusing on quality and hope to expand upon what we offer each and every year."

Pamela Olson, new to the EDGE sales staff, is coordinator of Edge Life Expo 2001: Healing Body, Mind & Soul. She says those who attend should expect "a few mystical surprises."

"Come have fun and experience a new adventure," she says. "Try something new and expand your horizons. That's what Edge Life Expo 2001 is about: new ideas, cool stuff to buy, great books to make you think, awesome music to listen to -- maybe even a glimpse of new intrigue entering your life!"
